Satellite Delay Simulators - HSDS

Hollis Electronics HSDS-140 and HSDS-70 satellite simulators are a high technology, low-cost solution for Earth Station to Satellite Link Simulation.  Both satellite simulators offer the same features and differ only in the frequency and bandwidth supported.  The HSDS-140 models operate at 140 MHz IF.  The HSDS-140-72 is for 72 MHz (1 dB) bandwidth and HSDS-140-100 is for 100 MHz (1 dB) bandwidth.  HSDS-140-125 is for 125 MHz (3dB) bandwidth.  The HSDS-70 operates at 70 MHz IF with 36 MHz (1 dB) bandwidth.  RF-band up+downconverters can be added optionally to operate at L-band and RF-bands.

COMING SOON - 250 MHz Contiguous Bandwidth

Interested in a satellite simulator which provides 250 MHz of Contiguous Bandwidth?  Please contact us.  Hollis Electronics
is in development of a new HSDS model operating at L-band with 250 MHz contiguous bandwidth.

Go to the HSDS product page for more information and technical specifications.

Go to Vendor Comparison to view a comparison of the competition.  HEC's HSDS is more robust and extremly cost competitive.

burst mode link analyzer - bmla+

The BMLA+ (pronounced boomla plus) gives users the ability to analyze Group Delay and Amplitude measurements for any portion of an occupied link in real time.  The new RF band support allows the injection of the BMLA+ anywhere in the RF chain allowing a user to better isolate and diagnose where equalization issues are occurring.

Please refer to the BMLA+ page for more details.

Teaming Arrangements

HEC is looking for companies who want to add the HSDS platform to their product or product line. The system can easily be integrated into most systems: it is a single card which uses an unregulated wide range supply voltage.

The system supports 70 MHz IF and 140 MHz IF standard. L-band and RF interfaces are also available, all systems are priced at a price a magnitude lower than our competition.  Contact HEC for details.
